    Some beginner tips for Tiiny

Hey guys -So we’re all excited to start playing with our tiiny devices. As more and more of us get our devices online, I wanted to share a few tips I’ve learned so far. My background: I work in a tech-adjacent field (engineering) but my only experience with coding is a few classes back in high school, so I am writing t

Robi: a local voice companion for my autistic daughter, with the Tiiny as its brain

Video from July, before the Tiiny arrived (MacBook inference, the pauses are the point): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VZUEtDk78Y

My daughter is autistic. What she needs from a companion is not cleverness — it is the same answer to the same question, every single time, and a memory of what she told it last week. And

Story Lantern: a bedside lamp your kiddo talks to, running entirely on the Tiiny

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2L-opWpyFoM

Imagine your daughter asks you for a story at bedtime.

This is exactly what I built this little Tiiny app for.

    Imagine:

She types what she wants. About half a minute later a painted page appears in an open book on the little screen and a warm voice starts reading her a story that

Tiiny -> Hermes -> Godot MCP

I used Tiiny to try to create a game dev pipeline.

    Here’s what I tried:
I grabbed the Hermes agent from the store, and ran it with Qwen 3.8 27B loaded up. I then told Hermes that I have the MCP loaded in Godot, and to please connect it. Which it did, ran a test, and was able to access the tools. I then asked it to create

    Using Tiiny AI with Intellij

I've been using Tiiny AI to help me with my code. I work mainly in the Intellij IDE and I figured I would share how to setup Intellij to use Tiiny AI.

    Steps to hook up intellij.

    1) First grab your API key from the settings in Tiiny AI

    2) Go to Intellij settings and search for AI assistant (Providers & API keys)

    3) Select O

I Made My Own Flight Tracker with Tiiny

I wanted to keep all my flight records on one map, but the travel app I was using limits free users to 40 trips. So I built my own with Tiiny.

I used Kilo Code in Code mode and started with this prompt:

    Markdown
    ↵Wrap lines
    1
Build me a web page that keeps track of all my flights on a world map. Every time I add a trip, it draws a nice curved

What Can You Do with Tiiny?

I put together a short list of posts I'd send to someone who just unboxed a Tiiny. They cover personal tools, everyday apps and files, learning, document work, and finished projects. I grouped them by what people were trying to do.

This list is updated as new posts go up.

    Personal tools and visual experiments

Daybreak: a 24/7 world-news wall that thinks entirely on the Tiiny

I've had a Tiiny on my bench and I wanted to see what it does with a real job rather than one prompt at a time. So I built Daybreak.

It pulls world news from 14 free feeds every five minutes and hands every single article to the Tiiny. Not a selection, all of them. Roughly 300 a day.

For each one the Tiiny does five thin

OneLane - Your Crossing Guard (Router)for Multiple LLM Requests

If you're setting up a Tiiny this week, here's the first thing that's going to confuse you.

The Tiiny thinks about one thing at a time. Ask it for a second thing while the first is still going and you get this:

    JSON
    ↵Wrap lines
    1
    {"code": 150004, "message": "The operation failed to complete."}

Inside one program that's easy to deal with. Yo

I would like to be able to get my user ID from my profile

Right now, the only way to get this is to go to the community feed and click on my profile or one of my posts. I can then click my profile, and it brings up my profile if I'm logged in, which doesn't give me the ID.

The only way I found that I can get my ID is to

    Making Chibi Stickers with TiinyOS

I used TiinyOS to generate two sets of chibi stickers: one based on a Shiba Inu and the other on a Siamese cat.

Both animals were easy to recognize, and the chibi look came through clearly.

    Prompt 1

Based on a Shiba Inu, generate a set of chibi-style stickers with different facial expressions and gestures. Do not repeat t

Titanium Tiiny Bot, a local assistant that runs beside your Tiiny

This is the small version of my Titanium Bot, cut down to run on your Mac or Windows box next to the Tiiny with the models on the device doing the thinking. Image Studio, generate and chain image workflows on your Tiiny

I wanted background removal on the Tiiny and went looking in the Model Store. There are four models sitting right there for it. Turns out the image endpoint has no image input at all, so none of them can be handed a picture.

So Image Studio does what the box can actually do. You upload a png, a vision model reads it, a

The image editing models can't be given an image

I was building an image app for the Tiiny this week and went shopping in the Model Store for something that would do background removal. There are four of them sitting right there. Background-Remove, Object-Remove, Zoom, Outpaint.

So I designed around them, and then went to check the API before wiring it up.

A beginner's guide to the Tiiny Vault | A deeper dive exploring everything I have found so far about the Tiiny Vault.

If you have poked at the Vault and were not sure what it actually does, this is the plain version.

It is two things under one name. The first is a document store you can search by meaning: you drop files in, the device chunks them, an embedding model on the NPU turns them into vectors, and they land in a local database.

TiinyBench, measure what your Tiiny actually does

A benchmark for the Tiiny that shows what your box does under real work: prefill against prompt length, throughput over a long generation, what happens when several callers arrive at once, and what a reasoning model costs in wall time for the tokens nobody reads. Results are plain JSON and the report is one HTML file y

I Connected My Obsidian Knowledge Base to Tiiny

I keep most of my notes and learning materials in Obsidian. I wanted to use Tiiny with them without moving everything to another platform. I installed the Copilot plugin for Obsidian and added Tiiny through its model settings. Tiiny has an OpenAI-compatible API, so I entered the endpoint and can now use its local model

Model management placement in desktop app

I would like to see the ability to manage loaded models without having to do so by trying to load one of the agents that requires a model. That pop-up seems to be the only place right now where I can load, unload, or unload all LLM models

I think it would be better if you had that on the dashboard, where you could click
